 AZUARE (As You Are) is a multidisciplinary project and creative house founded by Rocco Nugent and Nolan Gross, blending music, art, fashion, film, and design into a world where sound, visuals, and experience converge. VENICE BEACH, CA

 Abbot Kinney, one of the most culturally influential streets in America, became the stage where As You Are first came to life. While most artists arrive there after success, we chose to begin — in public, raw, and unfiltered. Born from months of creation and reflection in Waco, Texas, the project “Ascension Symptoms” explored the emotional and spiritual process of awakening — identity loss, time distortion, and transcendence. These ideas became the foundation for a two-month living installation that fused music, fashion, art, and consciousness into one experience.

By day, the space functioned as an immersive storefront — displaying prototype garments, visuals, and artifacts of the As You Are world. By night, it transformed into a full-sensory performance. Each evening began with sound baths and light therapy before evolving into a 30-minute Azuare set — a genre we coined “ethereal trap punk.” Over 44 nights, we performed within an atmosphere of VHS visuals, bio-harmonic beds, and live improvisations. The residency culminated in our song “Abbot Kinney,” written during that time — a celebration of the creative freedom, transformation, and community that defined this chapter.
